My name is Nehemiah Thomas, I'm an American who happens to be Black. I have no problem with either. But I do have a problem with Blacks who accuse me of being "a sell-out" because I refuse to be a part of, or swear loyalty to the Democrat Party (I'm not a Republican either; although I am very Conservative).
Its not enough for me that Mama and Daddy were Democrats, as was their Mama and Daddy; I need more to go on than just that.
Its not enough for me that I was born and raised in Mississippi (1952-1973); I need more than just those facts of my life to cause me to ever again consider being a part of the Democrat Party.
So maybe, just maybe as an Enlightened Black (or even a well-meaning White Liberal), you can provide me with just one thing that will cause me understand just what it is about the Democrat Party that causes an extremely large number of Black folks to believe that they're the only Political Party that has ever done anything "GOOD" and "PROFITIBLE" for, for, for, Black folks. So then, here's my question:
Tell me just one thing that ONLY the Democrats have done to make life better for Blacks in America???
